Mark Hebert

Lafayette – Funeral services for Mark  Anthony “ Crut” Hebert, 60, will be held Friday October 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM in David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Father Ed Deguyter Officiating. Interment will be in St. Anne Mausoleum at a later date.

Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Lafayette Thursday October 25, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mark was a native of Abbeville and a residence of Youngsville, he loved bream fishing in Donna’s pond, enjoyed repairing small engines, playing the slot machines at the casino, and truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mark will fondly be remembered saying He Did It His Way.

He is survived by his son Marcus Hebert; his parents Pierre Vergie and Joan V. Hebert; his sisters Rose Stoute (Chris) and Robin  Broussard (Ponookie) Broussard. He is also survived by his godchild Melanie Zeller; and his godparents Velma Roy and Andy Melancon; his numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets Tico, Sunshine, and Sweetie pie.

He chose this time to leave those he cherished the most on Earth to be with the ones he missed so much. Mark was preceded in death by wife Melinda Baudoin Hebert; two brothers David “Doc” Hebert and William “Bill” Hebert; paternal grandparents Altha and Elus P. Hebert; maternal grandparents Cyrus Sr. and Rose Aimie Vincent; and his step grandmother Ethelie B. Vincent.

The Hebert family wishes to offer special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, Laura Brown, Janet Darby, Sheryl Polite, Amy Aucoin, Deacon Ben Carter, Kaylie Huval, and at his service Uber drivers Dawn, Chasidy, Robin, Donna, and Rose .
