Darrell Dore

New Iberia—Funeral Services are being held for Mr. Darrell J. Dore, age 88, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at 10:00 AM with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating the service. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at 8:00 AM until the time of service with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 8:30 AM.

Darrell J. Dore was born on July 19, 1930, to Antoine and Lucille Laviolette Dore in Breaux Bridge, LA. He spent his later years living in New Iberia.

Darrell loved dancing, playing the guitar and playing cards with his family and friends.

He is survived by his step-daughter Theresa Gonzales of New Iberia; sisters, Theresa Thibodeaux of New Iberia, Marie Melancon of New Iberia; brothers, Aymar Dore wife Liz of Mississippi and Melvin Dore and Lilly of St. Martinsville; step-grandchildren, Audrina Torres of Austin, TX and Maranda Woodard of Eugene, Or .

He is preceded in death by his wives; Joan Dore of 32 years and his second wife Roberta H. Dore of 12 years. His parents Antoine and Lucille Laviolette Dore and one sister Irene Dore Fusselier .

Serving as Pallbearers will be Darrell’s friends and family members.
