Danny J. Dupre

Lydia – Funeral services will be conducted for Danny J. Dupre, 72, at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville. Visitation will be on Monday, November 12, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 8:00 AM until 11:15 AM. The Men’s Rosary Group will pray the rosary in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM. A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia, Mr. Dupre passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 4:40 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He was a mechanic and retired from Morton Salt. He enjoyed gardening, antique and collectible automobiles. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Frey and her husband Blaze of Lafayette and Jodie Boudreaux and her husband Ryan of Broussard; his grandchildren, Brittany Stanberry Leger, Victoria Frey and Kinley Frey; his great grandchildren, Allan Blake Hayes and Isabella Leger; his brother, Kerry Dupre all of Lafayette and his sister, Glenda Salkowitz of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Legnon Dupre; his parents, Albert Dupre and Ophelia Babin Dupre and his sisters, Judy Lanie and Arlene Hebert.  Pallbearers will be Kerry Dupre, Ross Salkowitz, Blaze Frey, Ryan Boudreaux, Bill Lahasky and Allan Blake Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Del Marcantel, Jake Dupre and Blake Marcantel. We would like to express our deep appreciation to Dr. Vina Baker of her many years of compassion and care for our father.
