Walter Maturin

New Iberia—Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Walter Maturin at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Korey LaVergne officiating the funeral mass. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at David Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 PM until closing at 9:00 PM.  There will be a recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM.

Visitation will resume on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.

Mr. Walter enjoyed life with his family. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.  He enjoyed cooking for the family, French music, gardening, raising cattle and he really enjoyed the horse races.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Elizabeth R. Maturin; his 4 granddaughters, Kim Gaspard and husband Cedric of Broussard, Kendra Judice and her husband Shane of Broussard, Christy LeBlanc of New Iberia, Casey LeBlanc and spouse Kris of Abbeville, son-in-law, Joe LeBlanc of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Ian Primeaux, Victoria Judice; Devin Judice, Alexis Gaspard, Addison Gaspard, Brayden LeBlance, Madox Hulin, Brae’lynn Stevens, Jackson LeBlanc and his faithful dog Pepper.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Edolie Romero Maturin, one son, Wiley Maturin, one daughter, Sandra LeBlanc and several brothers and sisters.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Shane Judice, Cedric Gaspard, Todd Bourque, Devin Judice, Ian Primeaux and James Touchet.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden LeBlanc and Madox Hulin.
