Antonia Marie Postlethwait

New Iberia – Graveside Memorial Services will be conducted for Antonia Marie Mestayer Postlethwait, 78, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Holy Family Mausoleum with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Postlethwait passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 9:40 AM at Iberia Medical Center.

She attended Mount Carmel High School, Teche Vocational School and earned her Secretarial Science Degree from U.S.L..

She was a bookkeeper at K-Mart Department Store, Wormser’s Department Store and McKee’s Bookkeeping Services and then was employed as a Typesetter at The Daily Iberian. She enjoyed photography.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Norva Mestayer of New Iberia and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Postlethwait; her parents, Clarence Mestayer, Sr. and Louise Gonsoulin Mestayer and her siblings, Mercedes Landry, Sylvia Broussard and Clarence Mestayer, Jr..

The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. George Cousin, Father Keith Landry, Deacon Wade Broussard, the staff’s at Maison Teche Nursing Facility and Iberia Medical Center.
