A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Jennifer was born on March 10, 1978.  She attended St. Joseph School in Jeanerette, was a 1996 graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia and was employed at Arceneaux Ford in New Iberia.  Jennifer touched so many with her gifts of love, laughter, and pure compassion. She enjoyed cooking with her family and friends, dancing, and relaxing at Cypermort Point or on the beach.  She was a proud Aunt whose love for her nieces and nephews was shown in immeasurable ways. All that knew her were captivated by her infectious laugh, warm smile, and perky demeanor. The love she displayed each day was one of God’s blessings to us all and will be forever cherished.

She is survived by her father, Percy David Eldridge; mother, Roselyn Boudreaux Ortega and husband Diego; the love of her life, Joe J. Tindell and their dog Zydeco; siblings, Jill Eldridge, Maggie Been and husband Darrell, Ben “Derby” Eldridge and wife Brittany, Katie Faucheaux and husband Sean; her nieces, Alaina Fontenot, Isabella Been, Marie Carol Been, Avery Eldridge, and Emmy Eldridge; her nephews and God-children, Luke Fontenot and Wyatt Faucheaux; and her maternal grandmother Roselyn “Butsy” Boudreaux.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, N.C. Boudreaux, Jr, M.D., and paternal grandparents, Percy and Beatrice Eldridge.

Pallbearers will be Joe J. Tindell, Walker Tindell, Darrell Been, Sean Faucheaux, Luke Fontenot, and Matthew Hebert.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center for the excellent care given to Jennifer.
