M. Christian Guillot

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for M. Christian Guillot, 46, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Denton, Pastor of Highland Baptist Church and Rev. David Jefferies, Associate Pastor of Highland Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Faubourg, Christian passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 7:30 PM at his residence.

In lieu of his disability, he was involved in sports, including baseball, gymnastics, swim team, billiards, roller and ice hockey, water skiing and snow skiing. He met Actress Lee Meriweather while both were patients at Oschner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans and through their friendship he learned how to fly on a Trapeze with the Gaonas Brothers.

He was quick witted and found humor in every situation and had a gift for laughter. Even though he had no children of his own, he was a father figure too many.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry J. Guillot and Linda Louviere Guillot of Faubourg; his sisters, Nikki Elliott and her husband Jude of New Iberia, Candi Guillot of Faubourg and Ashlyn Borres of Coteau; his nephews, Logan Aucoin of Spring, TX and Tylor Guillot of Broussard; his nieces, Keegan Elliott and London Elliott both of New Iberia; his special friend, Holly Nassans and her three children, Gavin, Jayden and Ahna and numerous Godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Francois Guillot; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Leona Guillot and his maternal grandparents, Loto and Leah Louviere.

Pallbearers will be Jude Elliott, Logan Aucoin, Tylor Guillot, Larry Louviere, John Fremin and Danny Bodin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kord Borres, Gavin Pritchard, Jarrod Collins, Keegan Elliott and London Elliott.

The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to the people of the Village of Loreauville for the acceptance, care and support for Christian throughout his life.
