Carroll Demarcy

Abbeville – A Memorial Service for Mr. Carroll DeMarcy, 84, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at David Funeral Chapel of Abbeville with Fr. Louis Richard officiating.  A private interment will be held later at Bancker Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12:00PM until the time of the services with recitation of the rosary at 12:30PM.

A native and resident of Abbeville, Mr. DeMarcy died at 3:04AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Eastridge Nursing Center.  He served in the U.S. National Guard and was known for his enjoyment of woodworking, making clocks, and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Roxanne and her husband Tommy Landry of Abbeville and Lisette and her husband Russell Suire, Sr. of Erath; a brother, Sidney DeMarcy; three sisters, Goldie Hebert, Gloria Robinson, and Eleanor Dartez; seven grandchildren, Alicia Gainer, Trayton Broussard, Chantele Thibodeaux, Brandy Dauzat, Samantha McDonald, Celeste Fabiano, and Russell Suire, Jr.; and sixteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Primeaux DeMarcy; his parents, Sidney and Lucille Sorbet Demarcy; two brothers, Ray A. DeMarcy and Hartwell DeMarcy; and three sisters, Vivian Breaux, Helen Broussard, and Marilyn Morvant.
