Inez Laviolette Vincent
September 5, 1919 — December 14, 2018
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home. Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM by the Men’s Rosary Group.
Inez went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 4:35 AM at Consolata Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the Patient Activity Coordinator at Consolata for over 30 years and a member of the Catholic Daughters. A native of Catahoula and resident of New Iberia, she was a wonderful cook and one who enjoyed her job greatly and took pride in all of her accomplishments.
She is survived by her children, Percy J. Comeaux of New Iberia, son in law, Lovell V. Romero and husband Jimmy of Loreauville, Merrill V. Ste Marie and husband Brad of New Iberia, Maurine Hebert and husband Daniel of New Iberia and Jane “Cookie” Viator of Loreauville; two sisters, Beulah L. Dugas of Loreauville and Jessie L. Patin of St. Martinville; twelve grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Russell Vincent; daughter, Hazel V. Comeaux; son-in-law, Al Viator; brothers; Francis Laviolette, A. J. Laviolette, Junius Laviolette, Chester Laviolette and Malcolm Laviolette; sisters, Mabel L. Gondron, Annette L. Dugas and Yola L. Carter; grandson, Chad Romero.
