Humberto Alvarez

New Iberia – A celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Humberto Alvarez, 68, on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 3:00 PM. The services will be held at, 4916 Bens Circle, New Iberia, La. 70560.

Mr. Alvarez passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 3:00 AM at his residence. Some of his hobbies include golfing, skiing, playing dominoes and backgammon, but his true passion was reading. Mr. Humberto recently got a pet dog named “Buddy” that became his great companion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son George B. Alvarez and his wife Martha; his daughter, Patricia A. Boutte and her husband Duane; his daughter, Maggy Rae Alvarez; his daughter, Leslie Susan Alvarez; his daughter Janis Marie Alvarez; his grandchildren, Ricki Lyn Alvarez, Kalen Alvarez, Paige M. Boutte, Peyton Boutte, Emily Macias, Natalie Martinez and Max Alvarez; and his sister, Susana Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his father Jose Ramon Alvarez and his mother Isolina Fernandez Alvarez; and his brother, Jose Ramon Alvarez Jr.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Humberto’s significant other, Ms. Michele Edinger, for her love and care towards him through the years. Also a special thanks to Mr. Michael “Coon” LeBlanc, for his lifelong friendship, you were like a brother to him.
