Curtis P. Delcambre

New Iberia – Funeral Services for Mr. Curtis P. Delcambre, age 86, will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at David’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Cemetery.

Visitation will held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

Mr. Curtis passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 7:17 AM at his residence in New Iberia. Upon leaving high school, Mr. Curtis P. Delcambre, served in the military and then went to work for Morton Salt Mine as a boat captain. Some of his hobbies include deer and rabbit hunting, training dogs and he had a very special place in his heart for all of his pets. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his companion, Ms. Lucille Delahoussaye; his brother, Eugene Delcambre of Loreauville; his brother, Harry Delcambre Jr. of Thibodaux; his sister, Earline Delcambre of Lydia; his sister, Lutha Monty of Virginia; his grandchild, Melanie Molbert and his  great-grandchild Reese Molbert.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lilly Segura Delcambre and Harry Delcambre Sr.; his sons, Jimmy and Danny Delcambre; his sister, Audrey Landry; sister, Mary Jean Delcambre Leleux; and his brother, Haywood Delcambre.

Mr. Curtis and family would like to thank Samuel for all the love, joy and wonderful memories.
