Allen Joseph Boutte, Sr.

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Allen Joseph Boutte, Sr., 81, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Readings for the funeral mass will be read by Heather Carrasco and Doris Louviere. Gif Bearers will be Jessica Boutte and Dalayn Marks. Burial will follow in the Boudreaux – Broussard Family Tomb in Loreauville.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. The Men’s Rosary Group will pray the rosary in the funeral home at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Boutte passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 1:36 PM at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He was the Owner and Operator of Allen’s Auto Air in Jeanerette and prior to that he was employed with Himel Auto Parts Store in New Iberia and Jeanerette. He attended the Retreat in Grand Coteau for 20 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1425 for 20 years and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Msgr. Langlois Assembly. He was an Usher, Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Liturgy Committee at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He served on the Jeanerette Museum Board. He was a former member of the Woodmen of the World. He enjoyed camping, fishing and cooking.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruth Boudreaux Boutte of Jeanerette; his children, Audie Boutte, Sr. and his fiancee’ Dawn Higginbotham of Church Point, Belinda Boutte and her fiancé Charles Falterman of Youngsville, Jason Boutte and his wife Shelly of New Iberia and Allen Boutte, Jr. and his wife Angel of St. Martinville; his siblings, Francis Boutte and his wife Pat, Kossuth Boutte and his wife Janet all of New Iberia, Alwyn Boutte and his wife Debbie of Lafayette, Raymond Boutte and his wife Darlene, Gloria Boudreaux and her husband James, Doris Louviere and her husband Lionel, Michael Boutte and his wife Delores, Dot Breaux and her husband Felton Breaux and Dalton Bonin all of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Blake Boutte and his wife Lacie, Audie Boutte, Jr. and his wife Julie, Damian Marks, Greg Boutte, Lance Boutte and his fiancée Alyson, Heather Carrasco and her husband Andres, Dalyan Marks, Jessica Boutte, Codey Migues, Christian Migues, Summer Hollier and Peyton Boutte and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Etienne Boutte and Josephine Bourque Touchet; his step-mother, Lorraine Boutte; his daughter, Christine Boutte and his brothers, Clay Romero and Roy Touchet.

Pallbearers will be Blake Boutte, Audie Boutte, Jr., Greg Boutte, Lance Boutte, Codey Migues, Christian Migues and Peyton Boutte.

Honorary pallbearers will be Audie Boutte, Sr., Jason Boutte, Allen Boutte, Jr., Charles Falterman, Damian Marks and Dalyan Marks.
