Roberta Lancon

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Roberta Hebert Lancon, 81, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Marty Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Lancon passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at 1:00 AM at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette.

She retired from the U. S. Post Office and was the owner and operator of Roberta’s Grocery in Jeanerette.

She is survived by children, Debbie McKenzie and her husband Wayne of Jeanerette, Timothy Lancon and his wife Debbie of Franklin, Ricky Lancon, Sr. and his wife Lisa, Karen Boudeaux and her husband John, Sr. all of Jeanerette, Kevin Lancon, Sr. and his wife Peggy of Baldwin and Louis Lancon, Maj, USA, Ret. and his wife Patty of Jeanerette; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley and Louise Dooley Hebert and her brother, Michael Hebert.

Pallbearers will be Michael McKenzie, Scott Lancon, Eric Lancon, John Boudreaux, Sr., John Boudreaux, Jr., Robert Lancon, Kevin Lancon, Jr., and Terry Dooley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Lancon, Brandon Lancon and Layne Lancon.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette, Acadian Hospice of Lafayette and Dr. Robert Hankenhof.
