Robert Braquet

Loreauville – Funeral services will be conducted for Robert James “Bob” Braquet, 82, at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Barry Crochet officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum with Military Graveside Rites.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 4, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 8:00 AM until the services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Men’s Rosary Group at 7:00 PM on Monday evening.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Braquet passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 3:48 PM at his residence.

Mr. Braquet was a Real Estate Agent and Appraiser for many years and owned Braquet Real Estate. He was also the owner of Drago’s Flower Shop and Braquet Furniture Store. He was a Thoroughbread Horse Owner and Breeder. He was a former member of the Optimist Club and a member of the Knight of Columbus Council 4676 in Loreauville.

He was a Veterans of the U. S. Army having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sadie Cangelosi Braquet of Loreauville; his children, Lisa Pastor of Loreauville, Jimmy Braquet of New Orleans, Sharon Braquet of Atlanta, GA, Jason Braquet and his wife Cheri of Loreauville and David Braquet and his wife Brooke of Midland, TX; his son-in-law, Dwayne Latiolais of Loreauville; his grandchildren, Ashley Braquet of Baton Rouge, Blake Edward Romero of Kiln, Miss., Alyssa Braquet, Mark Braquet, Jr. both of Los Angeles, CA, Jaye Nicole Flint of Sydney, Australia, Kenya Jones, Jordan Ramono, Isabel Ramano, Jaris Ramano all of Marietta, GA, Tori Latiolais of Denver, CO, Devin Latiolias, Jason Braquet, Jr., Christian Braquet and Skyler Michelle Braquet all of Loreauville and his great grandchildren, Rachel Romero of Loreauville, Thomas Hudson Jones and Travis Indiana Jones both of Marietta, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph John Braquet, Jr. and Maydelle Latiolais Braquet; his daughter, Cathy Latiolais; his sons, Mark and Michael Braquet; his brother, Eric Braquet and his sister, Betty Braquet.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jason Braquet, Jr., Christian Braquet, Blake Edward Romero, Jaris Ramano, Devin Latiolais, Tori Latiolais and Mark Braquet, Jr.
