Maurice "Clark" Provost

Loreauville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Maurice “Clark” Provost on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Onuegbe officiating the funeral mass. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Loreauville.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at David Funeral Home with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will resume on Monday, February 11, 2019, at 8:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

“Clark” Provost, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 2:08 PM at his residence surrounded by his family.

“Clark” served his country as a member of the National Guard for a number of years. He had a passion for working on the waters of the basin and lakes where he spent the majority of his working career in the oil and gas industry.

He had a love of duck hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

He served his church community and family as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Knights of Columbus # 4676 in Loreauville.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin Provost and wife Caline and Brian Provost and wife Colette, both of Loreauville; his grandchildren, Joelle P. Charpentier and husband Dane, Trey Provost, Randi Provost, Jordy Provost; and great-grandchildren, Quinn Charpentier, Mia Rose Charpentier, Brooks Charpentier; and one sister, Sharon Solar and husband Donald of Loreauville.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Spiess Provost; his parents, Maurice and Evelyn “Sis” Gonsoulin Provost, and his son, David Provost.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Provost, Brian Provost, Trey Provost, Jordy Provost, Dane Charpentier, and Donald Solar, Jr.

The family of “Clark” would like to give a special thank you to Lourdes Hospice and all his healthcare providers for their love and kindness that they should to “Clark” and us during our time of need.
